I felt indecisive as i stood in the hallway of the hotel. People were coming from the stairwell to the east of me. I thought that there was some kind of alarm in the building. I knew that it was not real, though. I was aware of a woman and some men who were standing to the west of me. They were some kind of officials. It seemed that there was something that had to be done, but i did not feel like doing it. I walked in front of the stairwell and looked up. The stairs were narrow and coloured a dark grey. The building seemed old. The hallway that i was in was made of tile that was nicely polished. This place seemed like an old school building, but i knew that it was a hotel. The corridor around me ran north to south and was very short. There seemed to be a passage at either end of the corridor which led to the west. I backed up from the stairs as a woman came down. I thought that they were acting like they were supposed to during a fire drill. I felt a little defiant and refused to go outside. I walked to the south, looking down the corridors which ran to the east from the hall. One of them seemed to be an entrance to a theatre. I then saw a small black sign on the tan wall which said “small gym” in white sans serif capital letters. I pushed open the bark brown door and looked into the room. The room was small and lighted with fluorescent lights. The walls were pale green with dark brown chair rail boarding on the bottom. It seemed like an old run-down bar. Light from the sunny corridor on the other side shined onto the floor of the room. There was a baffle in the doorway which did not allow me to see out into the corridor, but i could see shadows in the light as people walked past the other door. There were a few items on the north wall of the room and a green ping-pong table to the south of the door. The table was on the east end of the room. Disappointed, i sighed to myself “A ping-pong table is what they consider a gym.” There was a second doorway on the east side of the room. I backed out of the room and started down the hall to the north. I thought that there might be another sign for the main gym. I felt as though i wanted to get a workout in. I passed a tan door on the east side of the corridor which i thought might be the gym. I read the sign, but did not process the words. As i walked past it, i thought that it might be some type of theatre. I thought about a woman going into the door to get dressed for her dance practice on the stage. She was wearing a white ballet suit. I continued down the corridor to the east, looking into the door of the theatre. The wall inside had vertical lines from the wood paneling, but there was a thin strip of tan wood which crossed over the lines, forming a stair-case pattern on the north side of the wall. The wall seemed to curve from the hall into the room. It was a fancy decoration for the entrance to the theatre. I walked past the stairwell and then turned to face the south. I was on the outside of a building, with another building to the east of me. I looked to the south, watching the events that were taking place in the sky. Something was moving over the vast stretch of mottled blue sky. There thin patches of clouds streaked horizontally over the sky. This was some kind of movie. I then noticed the black text floating up on the west side of the sky. I looked over at it and noticed that it was very pixelated. It said “plain text” in very roughly rendered type. I also noticed that there were large tan pixels between some of the letters. I thought that there was a problem with the computer. It must have had an error. I remembered that one of the previous error messages said something about fonts. The action continued on the east side of the screen, but the text kept appearing to the west. I hoped that the computer did not crash. Then, the action seemed to end. It was intermission, but the movie was going to start up again in a few moments. I looked to the east to see a gravel country road leading away into the distance between fields of tall tan grass. There was a silver mailbox in the foreground with black sans serif letters on the side. “Uh oh.” i said as i looked at the box. The older woman who was sitting in a chair to the south said “Uh oh what?” I pointed to the mailbox and told her that the computer needed to be restarted. The mailbox was an error message that something was going wrong with the system. I turned to the east in the black chair and looked at the small television screen on which the image of the box was being shown. I told her that there had been problems with the show, but now the computer looked as though it needed to be restarted. I thought that it would take a while to restart everything. There was a large console to the southeast with many monitors and controls on it. The man who was at the monitor to the northeast turned off the system and all of the monitors went blank. They then started to fill which white scrolling text. I looked at the large black console to the northwest in front of which the man was sitting. I thought that it was the main computer and asked the man whether his console needed to be restarted. He turned to the console and restarted the main computer. I then looked back at the console to the south and asked him “Will this computer be able to start up without the main computer running?” He said that it could. I leaned back in the seat and looked at the small television screen. There was a tall cement structure to the southeast now. Then the bus started to move forward. I realized that i was sitting in the front seat. I wondered whether i should get off. As the bus pulled away from the university, i decided that i could take a trip around the loop before the movie started again. The bus drove to the east. The old woman was still sitting in one of the bench chairs to the south of me, on the right side of the bus. She had white hair and was wearing a blue polyester suit. I looked in the back of the bus to see that the driver was talking to some of the other passengers. He was controlling the bus from the rear. I turned around and looked forward. I was sitting right behind the driver’s seat, which seemed lower than mine. I wondered for a moment whether i should move into the seat. I thought that i should not because the bus driver might get annoyed. The bus turned to the right and started up a hill into a country area. There was tall field grass all around. I wondered how far from campus we were traveling. I hoped that i could get back in time for the rest of the movie. I thought that, if i missed it, i would not know how it ended. I tried to think of the plot and realized that i could not figure out the ending. I imagined that i could fly back to the theatre. It would save time. If i could fly, then i would not have to worry about traveling on busses. The bus was then heading to the west, driving down the hill to the first intersection that we had gone through. We were almost back to the college. I looked across the street as we descended the hill and noticed the rough peaks of the hills. I had never noticed that they had rocky peaks. I imagined flying from one peak to the next. I then thought that i could simply fly to the top of one and hike over the rest. They were all in a thin line. I wondered whether $F12 would like to do it with me. I then realized that i had never noticed how narrow the peaks were before. They were only a few metres wide. The bus turned to the east and started away from the university again. I looked back into the field to the north. I realized that the row of peaks was formed out of a single layer of sediment. The mountains to the west of it were made of hard sediment, so they did not erode as easily. However, all of the layers of sediment in the field had eroded, except for the thin layer which stood vertically on the west end of the field, forming the narrow peaks. The peaks were wide north-to-south, and covered with green trees, leaving only the very tops of the tan rock exposed. I then realized that the bus was again heading away from the movie area. I thought that it had to make a larger loop before it circled back to the university. I worried that i would miss the end of the movie.

I walked to the west, across the long narrow room. This place seemed like part of a fraternity. I was here with someone else. I spoke to the other person as i walked back to the east, out of the small room and into the main room. There were a few other people around. It seemed that i was discussing the missing books of the Bible. I sat down on the floor of the room. $F15 was laying on a mattress on the floor to the east of me. He was still sleeping and i did not want to disturb him. The other person had walked to the west to get something. I looked at the small cards that were on the floor to the left of me. They seemed like foreign money, but they were designed like business cards. I thought that they were very interesting and wondered whether i should take them. $F15 shifted his position and looked at me. He was groggy as he said hello. I tried to be quiet as he slept a little longer. I picked up one of the cards from the floor and looked at it. It was brown and had gold letters that covered the entire front of the card. The letters were thin and styled in an art deco fashion. The card seemed faded and a little worn, as though it were old. I realized that the card was russian and that the letters read “RUI”. I pronounced the word softly. $A15 stirred at the sound. I placed the card back down, adjusting the change in my back pocket. I had taken some of the coins from the floor. As i moved, i could hear them rattle in my pocket a little. I hoped that they did not make too much noise. I did not want $A15 to know that i had taken them. I looked at a few of the other cards and noticed that some of them were russian as well. I stood up and was in the small room to the east again. $A15 walked into the room. He was wearing nothing but his white underwear. I looked at his legs and thought that they seemed skinny. The thin hair on his thighs stood up, making his skin a little red. The other man then started talking to me about the religious texts. I started packing things in my bag. I had to leave. My mother then walked through the room. She was impatient with me and told me in an angry tone that i had to hurry. I looked out the window to the north to see the suburban street. It was very early in the morning, with little light. I could see the dark image of a city bus driving to the west, in front of the house. I tried to read the letters on the window of the bus. They were on the opposite side of the bus, but i could see their silhouettes through the windows. I felt panicked. I had to get my things together. I realized that i had to make myself some lunch and get to work. I hoped that i did not miss my bus.

I walked to the southwest, down the corridor of the large building. I had just come from a room on a wing of the building and i was heading back. I had been speaking with my mother. I walked down the fancy hall of the large building. This place was a house, but seemed like a hotel or mansion. The walls were lined with polished wood and the floors were cleanly carpeted. I came into a central area of the house where a staircase descended along the south wall. I could see a turn in the corridor on the other side of the central hall. I realized that the corridor which led away to the north from there was the west wing of the house. I was starting to understand the layout of the house. I had been confused before. I thought about my grandfather’s room, which was in the west wing. As i passed the center of the main hall, i was aware of a young boy descending the stairs which came from the upper floor. The stairs had a fancy metal rail which curved out into the hallway. The stairs also seemed to be enclosed between two walls. I stopped and spoke to the young child, wondered why he had gotten out of bed. He seemed frightened and wanted to speak to me. I thought that i should encourage him to return to bed. I felt as though i had to get to the room in the west wing. There was then a heavy vibration which shook the floor. It sounded like a motor starting just below us. It ran at a steady hum. I could tell that it was frightening the child, but i told him not to be afraid of it. I told him to go back to his room and sleep, but he said that he wanted to be with me. I wondered why the furnace was making so much noise.

I turned right as i traveled north down the hall. I came into the large room, which seemed like a break room. There was no one in the room, but the room was lined with long brown tables. There seemed to be scattered papers and old items on various surfaces. The lights were dim and fluorescent. My mother was with me. We were trying to get to someplace. I remembered walking in the corridor to the north. There seemed to have been other people with us. It seemed as though i was unsure where i was going. I turned to the east and opened the door of the room. It was the break room. I backed into the hall and told my mother what the room was. She continued to the north , following the others. I felt confused. It seemed that i should follow the others, but i thought that i had to do something. I started to the north again. I seemed to be on the third floor of $P7. I remembered that this place had been redecorated. The ceiling seemed very low here. There were also many pipes and wires crossing the ceiling. As i walked on up the slope of the hall, i noticed that the west side of the corridor was open to a room. It seemed that the hall stopped before it reached the wall of the room. I then came to the place where the floor of the hall curved up suddenly, meeting the tan wood floor of the next level. This seemed to be a strange design. I was aware of the edge of the floor to the west and the large open space beyond it. There seemed to be things hanging from the ceiling in the space. I climbed up onto the wooden floor, noticing that the ceiling was lower over this area. I then spotted someone walking toward me. As i looked up, i could see that it was $A175. I said hello as i sat on the edge of the floor. Someone then came up behind me. He said hello to $A175 as well. I looked up over my left shoulder to see that it was $A276. $A175 said hello back to him, but did not seem to recognize $A276. I spoke to $A175, telling him $A276’s name. I then started to stand up. I started to bump my head against the pipes and wires of the ceiling. I felt a loose wire against my right shoulder and turned to look at it. $A175 said that the corridor was not yet finished. I saw a thick copper wire hanging near my shoulder. I thought that it was a grounding wire for the electricity. I pushed it back into the wall, noticing that it was running over the surface of a grey gas meter. $A175 said that the gas meter was just installed and not quite correct. I wondered whether it was dangerous. I sat back down on the ground. My vision was obscured, as though i were closing my eyes. I thought that i should leave this place, but i felt like curling up and going to sleep. I opened my eyes and looked north down the corridor. There was a street running down the center of the short buildings. I could see an intersection with the main road a block to the north. I seemed to be sitting in the passenger’s seat of a large car. The car was facing east, parked in front of a large barn. The barn seemed to be the front of a house, but it had bare darkly stained wood on the surface. A station wagon came down the street toward me and turned to the east, driving into the opening of the barn-like structure. I thought that they must be the owners of the house. There were two people in the front seat of the car and a young girl in the back. The car drove over the dip at the edge of the short driveway and into the front entrance of the building. I decided that i should move. I thought that they might be suspicious of me sitting in front of their house. I started to stand up. I had been sitting on the west side of the corridor. I looked to the north to see the cars driving past the main door of the building. An elderly woman walked out of a door on the east side of the hall just to the north of me. I looked across the hallway to see the diagonal boards of the stained barn. I thought that i had just pressed the button for the elevator. The elderly woman walked toward me. I did not know how i could explain why i was here. It seemed that i should move. I turned to the west and walked across the street. I thought that i could take the short cut through the side of the old building. The building seemed like $P93. I remembered that i had taken this short cut many times before. The place seemed different now, though. I walked down in the narrow stairway of the building. The area around me seemed open, and i was aware of people on the balcony over my head. I thought that they should be able to see my descending the stairs. I hoped that they did not mind me walking through their house. I turned to the north and headed down the uneven steps of the brick stairway. The stairs curved into a circular stairwell which had white columns supporting the roof. The circular well seemed too narrow to walk through, but i attempted to place my feet on the brick steps. I thought that the area must be under construction, because the bricks seemed hollow and unfinished. There also seemed to be other debris on the rails of the stairwell. I placed my feet between the walls of the well and tried to fit my body through the thin white stone columns. As i turned to the west on the stairs, someone from above called to me in an angry voice. He said that i should get out of here. I felt uncomfortable here and hurried around the corner of the bricks. I then walked down the grey stone steps to the south which led to the door at the back of the building. The door was very short and was partly below the level of the floor. I remembered that a section of the floor lifted up near the door. I grabbed the brass ring on the east side of the floor panel and lifted the tan piece of wood. I then opened the outside door. I thought that i could walk diagonally across the lawn. I felt nervous and hoped that the people from the house did not chase after me.

12001 January 06

I was driving through the streets of the suburban area, heading southwest, but looking north. There was a house on a hill to the north of me. It seemed like a nice house. I was then standing in front of the house looking southeast. There was a short hill running from the edge of the house, where i was standing, to a path and patio made of oddly-shaped stone blocks. The stones were white and brick red, and seemed to be in no specific pattern. They were very clean, though, as if someone was taking good care of the place. The hill then dropped off again at the other end of the patio. I could see a few more house below. There was a nice view of the river valley from the house. I could see another housing complex on a hill on the other side of the river from me. The hills rolled into the distance to the east. This place seemed like $P3. I thought that the house was in a very nice area. I wondered whether i could find a house just as nice. I thought that this one should be very expensive because it was in the suburban area. I wondered whether it would be good to build a house. All i had to do was find a hill. I looked to the southeast as i wandered around the front of the hill. I was now in the country. There was a small hill to the west of me which seemed like a good place to build a house. I thought that it might have a good view of the valley. I walked from the road, through the thin leafless woods, and up the hill. I was aware of a car driving to the south on the road behind me. This hill seemed like a nice place to build a house. I turned to the north to look at the side road which descended the a shallow slope along the side of the small hill. I thought about the patio which was on the edge of a hill. I could build it around the house to look out over the valley. I decided that it would be better if the hill under the patio were trimmed. It could not have any trees on it or i would not be above to see over them. I decided that it would be nice of there was a cement wall at the bottom of the hill. I looked down and thought that there might be a highway embankment just below where the patio would be placed. I could see that the road had a thin layer of mud on it and wondered whether there had been water flowing over it in the last storm. I thought that the road crews might have been working on it. I wondered why it needed so much work. I hoped that the embankment at the bottom of the hill did not run the risk of getting washed out. I noticed that there was a drainage ditch which ran along the bottom of the steep hill. I turned and walked back over the small hill. This place seemed very familiar. As i rounded the top of the hill, though, i could see that there was a large empty parking lot behind it. The pavement of the lot was cracked, and there were dry weeds growing through it. I walked down the hill, into the lot. I was then aware of a small white building to the south, at the back corner of the lot. It seemed like an old shed. It was run down and abandoned. I walked into the front of it. There was a man sitting along the back wall. I thought that i knew the people here. The room was vary dark, lighted only from the large opening on the west wall. A man then walked into the opening behind me. I felt as though i recognized him before i saw him. He felt like $F13. As he walked to my right, i reached out and greeted him with a hug. I was happy to see him. I then realized that he was not $F13. He seemed confused by my gesture as he walked in front of me and started to the northwest. I realized that he was really $F13’s brother. I greeted him, feeling slightly embarrassed for making the mistake. There was someone else standing to the west of me who seemed like another brother of $F13. I remembered seeing them before and said hello to them in a friendly manner. The eldest, whom i had hugged, shook my hand, standing now to the north of me. I looked to the west to see $F13 now entering the room. He was smiling as he walked. He was not wearing a shirt, as though he had just come from playing a sport. I turned to the east to look at the two older people who were sitting against the wall. There seemed to be some light coming in through the cracks in the top of the wall. The woman sat to the north, reclined slightly to the south. She seemed to have her hair up in a bun and was wearing a green and white flowered robe. The old man sat on a bench. He was wearing ragged clothing that hung loosely over his thin frame. There seemed to be something wrong with his right eye, as though it were damaged along with the area of his face around it. He spoke to me, and i felt as though there was some significance i what he was saying. I could not understand him, though. I felt as though this were important. I then opened my eyes. I thought that i had just woken up. I had been sleeping in the house of friends. I stood up and walked to the southwest, noticing the nicely kept patio of laid stoned which ran along the top of the short just outside of the house. There was a pave corridor which ran along the white outside wall of the house. I walked to the southwest, noticing the stairs which descended from the path through a square arch at the corner of the stucco house. I sat on the stairs as the other people started to come near me. I realized that they were the neighbours of my grandmother. It had been a long time since i had seen them. I thought that i had slept in their house. I looked at the two women as they approached me from the northwest. There were some children running between them as they walked. I thought that the women were the daughters of the family. They were about my age, but looked older. The children must have been theirs. I sat on the top of the stairs as the family gathered to the southwest of me. They were all dressed in dark sports coats and dressed. It seemed as though they were gathered for a special reason. The three daughters then looked around at me. The middle daughter was speaking to her sister when she noticed me. She leaned over the cement wall at the side of the stairs and asked who i was. I remembered her name. I thought that she was the sister who was always so mean to us. The youngest sister told her who i was and she seemed surprised. I thought that the middle sister was probably nicer to people now.

12001 January 08

I drove down the road to the west. I was in the middle of the country. It seemed that i had just left some event. I felt as though i had to get back home. I was talking to someone as i drove, though they did not seem to be in the car with me. I said that i remembered the way back to where i had to go. I thought about driving through the small towns on my way back to the place. I seemed to be in the mountains, where the surrounding hills were covered with green trees. I then drove down the long stretch of road which headed east over the field. There were several other cars in front of me and a few traveling in the opposite direction. It felt strange to drive the car i was in. I felt unfamiliar with it. I assured myself that it was not a problem to drive. I then noticed a police car on the right side of the road. As i passed it, i looked down at my speedometer to see how fast i was going. I realized that i was going over eighty miles per hour. I quickly slowed down, watching the black car in front of me. I looked in my rear-view mirror to see if the police car noticed. I saw it turn around, its lights flashing. I hoped that it was not after me. I slowed to a stop behind a white ambulance which was in the left-hand lane at the intersection. I thought that i could not be farther to the left, so i should remain where i was to let the police car pass. The police car drove past me on the right, but slowed down quickly and came to a stop just in front of me at the light. The lights on the car stopped flashing. I thought that the officer must have realized that he could not stop me while i was in a turning lane. It would have blocked traffic. I thought that he would follow me around the corner to the left and then stop me. The traffic started moving and i cautiously pulled around the corner. The police car turned in front of me, and i thought that he really did not want to pull me over. I traveled to the north, down the suburban street. There seemed to be two other people with me as i rode my bicycle down the center of the street. The person on my right then pointed out the wires hanging across the road. I looked forward to see the orange wires hanging own in the center of the street. I thought that the men must have been working on the power again. There was a large white truck on the right side of the road, and several pieces of cut wire shielding on the ground. I remembered that this area was supposed to be closed. We looked around and noticed that we were within the area that was blocked by chain-link fence. We were in front of the large college building, heading to the south. I thought that we had to head to the west, through the large grey stone building. The area of the grass lawn in front of the building had a corridor of metal fence extending from the building to the parking lot to the east. There were several pieces of orange wire hanging in the fenced area. The others started to head to the east, but i wondered whether the front door of the building was open. As long as we were in the area, i thought that we should continue into the building. I rode my bicycle over to the door as the others walked east. The doors were large and white and had round black metal handles. I pulled the right door open, noticing a woman standing with a group on the opposite side of the hall within. She glanced at me as i peeked through the door. I let the door close as i called to the others to let them know that we could simply walk through the building. They paused for a minute, looking back at me, then turned and started to walk slowly toward the building.

12001 January 09

I rode my bicycle to the northeast, along the dirt trail, which ran to the east of the highway. There seemed to be a cement wall between the highway and myself, as though the highway were slightly elevated. I was aware of someone riding behind me. I thought that i had to stay ahead of him. I tried to pedal harder, but i could not go any faster. I knew that the man on the bicycle behind me was $A277. I felt as though i had to stay ahead of him. I knew that we were both traveling along the highway until we got to the turn. We would then turn left and head into the city. There seemed to be old apartment buildings on the other side of the cement division from us. There seemed to be train tracks in the cement division. I looked down at the bare path worn in the grassy ground as i tried to press my left foot into the pedal of the bicycle. I felt as though i were having a very hard time trying to keep going. $A277 easily caught up with me. I thought that my legs were simply not as strong as his and that i could not keep up the pace. I still felt that i had to get past him, though, and strained to pass him. He slowed as i pulled in front of him and turned around the corner to the west. There was a wooden beam lying across the shallow stream. I thought that i could hurry over it before $A177 got off of his bicycle to the north of me. I hopped off of my bicycle to the left and pulled it onto the beam. I watched the water flow over the rounded dark grey rocks as i pushed the front tire of the bicycle onto the dark beam. The man then called to me. He was the man who had been following, but he no longer seemed like $A277. He asked me about the stream. I started to walk up the steep rocky slope of the stream bed. It seemed that i had come here to follow the stream bed up the hill. I remembered that there was some importance to this. I then noticed the books that were sitting in the stone shelves along the west side of the stream. The blue one on the right-hand side of the row was blue and had a picture of a family on it. I looked at the cover of the book. Then the book was back on the shelf with the other books. I realized that all of the books were part of a series. The next book to the left was red. They were all different colours, and were very bright and new. I looked at the title of the blue book again to see that it was “The Last Story of” followed by the man’s name. All of the books in the series were about the same man. I knew that the series had been completed, but that it had not yet been started. I thought that i should read some of the books. I remembered that their plot had something to do with the stream. As the plots progressed backwards through time, we traveled up the stream. I spoke aloud to the man who was with me. I then felt somewhat embarrassed because we were making so much noise. I noticed a woman standing to the east. She was on the north shore of the stream, along the section of the stream, which ran flat at the top of the hill. There was an office building on the south side of the stream, which had no wall. I could see the white cubicles and desks inside the black structure. I stopped talking as the woman glared at me. I felt that i could not act the way i normally would around the man because others would get upset. I then saw the other man sitting on the rocks of the stream. He was wearing shorts, and the water flowed around him and down a small ledge. His left leg was stretched out, as though he were trying to do something with his foot. He paused as he looked at me. He seemed to be confused. I knew that this had to do with the stream. He was the last person up the stream from us. I was watching the progression backward of things in the stream. He was the person who was up stream from us. I then thought that time could be transferred backwards through any creature. I imagined a small leach on the man’s foot. It would carry time backward up the stream to the next creature. We were all a progression of the flow.

I ran to the west, following the other members of $G4. We were in a forested area, but we did not seem to be too far from a house. I felt strange being here. It seemed that i had not been running in a very long time. There were two people right behind me as i ran towards the edge of the woods. The trees were leafless, and there were tall thin pines, which stuck up through the branches of the lower vegetation. As i passed through two of the pine trees, my coat got caught on a broken branch. I stopped between the two trees, trying to adjust my pee coat. I did not want to tear it and hoped that i did not damage it too much. The two people passed me and followed the other members of $G4 into the underbrush. I decided that i should hurry after them. I did not want to get lost in the forest. I ran to the west, into the center of the room. The trail that we were following led into the room of the old house. We were in the bedroom, and there was a large bed on the north wall of the room with a white bedspread over it. There seemed to be some fine green detail sewn into the cover. I had entered through a door on the west end of the south wall. There was a woven rug on the polished wood floor and a few dressers around the walls. The room was square. There were a few other people in the room with me, looking around on the floor for the white marks of the trail. I walked around the foot of the bed, to the west side of the room. I could see chalk marks on the floor, but they had been worn by the previous runners and were hard to read. I then realized that there was only one way out of the room. I thought that the trail must have instructions on where we are to go, because it would not lead back out the way we came. I noticed writing near the dotted line, which looped over the surface of the floor. There was a round brown woven rug on the floor between the bed and a wood dresser, which was against the west wall. There was a window to the south of the dresser, which had diffuse light coming through its thin white curtains. The ceiling seemed lower over the blonde maple dresser. The second drawer from the bottom of the dresser was open, and i could see some white clothes in it. I pulled the rug to the east with my foot to see that there was a treasure-map-style X on the ground. The others came over to me as i tried to make out the map on the floor. I looked down and realized that there was a drawing of the house. I tried to orient myself to the map. I realized which way it was facing. I decided that i could see the spot out the window of the room and walked over to it. It seemed that the window was in the west wall, but, when i looked out it, it seemed that i was facing south. I could see a cut lawn stretching away under the empty branches of a large tree. At the far edge of the lawn, i could see a light blue pond made out of cement. The pond was shaped like an eye, with the far side higher than the near side. I could see $G4 wading in the blue water. I thought that it must be very cold outside and wondered how they could stand it. I turned from the window, thinking that i should go join them. I then remembered the man that was buried near the road. I suddenly felt different. I thought that $G4 was near where the body was and might find it. I remembered that i had buried it at the edge of the dirt road, just off of the house. It was not summer, and the house would be inactive, as though it were part of a camp. I was then in the hallway to the east of the bedroom. I thought that i could pull up the body if they found it. Then my fingerprints would be on it. I could tell the police that i had found it in the stone wall by the road. I thought that my fingerprints would be on the body from when i killed the man, but could not be separated from the new prints if i pulled it up. I glanced to the north, through the square window, which looked down over the living room. I continued down he hall into a small bedroom on the east end. This was the girl’s room. I remembered being here before when the family was around. I walked around the room, looking at the clutter of toys. I knew that the family was away. I wondered whether i should look through the girl’s things, but then thought that i should leave the room before anyone found me here. There was a small round plastic table in the center of the room with some crayons on it. I thought that the family must have left in a hurry. I felt as though i should get out of the house before i was discovered. I walked back into the hall and paused in front of the window. I thought about the body again. I remembered how i had killed the man. I was aware that i felt casual about killing him. It seemed like it had been so easy, and there was some pleasure in doing it. I looked down into the large living room. The room was two-stories tall and had white walls. It seemed very modern and plain. The peak of the roof was exposed on the underside and i could see the metal I-beams, which ran up the sides of the roof. There seemed to be a few ceiling fans suspended in the center of the room. There was a white couch against the west wall with a dark lamp just beyond it. I remember the man sloughing back on the couch. He was wearing a light blue sweater with a white shirt under it. He seemed to have tan pants on. I felt as though he were close to me. He started to close his eyes. I had poisoned him with a heavy sedative ad i knew that it was taking effect. It also seemed that i was choking him. I watched his face as he faded from consciousness, aware of the moment when he died. My left hand was on his throat, as though i were monitoring his pulse. I felt very satisfied that i had killed him.

I looked to the right, down the length of the long wooden table. It seemed that i was viewing the situation from the center of the table. There was a woman sitting at the table. She started to blink, as though something were in her eye. I then noticed that there was a large contact lens on the table in front of her. Everything else on the table seemed white, as though covered with fine linen and lace, but the contact lens was sky blue. There was a woman sitting to the left of the first woman. She noticed the contact lens on the table and lowered her head to look at it. The first woman continued eating, as though she had not noticed the missing lens. Then the first woman started to fidget again. She knew that something was wrong, but she did not know what. The second woman lifted a pair of glassed from the table. She had managed to get the contact lens to stick to the surface of the glasses. She held up the small round glasses in front of the first woman. The first woman looked at the glasses, which had light-pink plastic frames. My view then moved toward the woman, closing in on her eye. I felt as though i were watching the scene from a camera. The view closed in on the first woman’s left eye. It was brown. I knew that there was some significance to the colour. She was trying to his her brown eyes with the blue lenses. The view was eventually filled with the brown iris of her eye.

I walked down the stone stairs, which led to the small house. I was near the ocean, and the house seemed like a cottage. The land around me was rocky and steep. There were tall spires of tan rock, which reached from the water below. It seemed that this rock was porous, with many dark crevices. There was a large body of water to the north, which seemed like a river or large lake. I stepped down the red wooden stairs to the house. This house seemed very nice. It was my new house. As i walked through the rooms of the small house, i wondered why i had bought the house. I already had a bout. I thought of the house where i had been living. I wondered why i had sold it for this one. I remembered that it was a very nice house and that it had a lot of room. I thought that it was also in very good condition. This place did not seem to be in as good a condition. As i walked into a small room in the northwest corner of the building, i was struck with the feeling of the new place. It needed more repairs, but it felt special in some way. I remembered that it was by the ocean and suddenly forgot about my old house. I walked up the narrow stairs in the center of the house. They were made of pale tan wood, which was coated with a light polish. The stairs turned to the north about halfway up, with the ascending section of the east side. The stairwell was surrounded at the top by a wooden banister. I came to the top of the stairs and started to walk to the northwest corner of the house. My mother seemed to be with me. She was checking out the house with me. I walked into the small bedroom, which was on the northeast corner of the house. There was a small bed with hits headboard in the center of the wet wall. There was a small window on either side of it. I could see the tall cliffs of tan rock, which rose around the sides of the house. I walked to the north wall, along the side of the bed. There was a deep red spread over the bed. I looked out the window to see the ocean waves rolling in between the large rocks and spires, which lined the beach fifty metres below. A second wave rolled into the rocks, and i could feel the slight vibration through the floor of the house. I wondered whether it was safe to have the house so close to the ocean. I felt the house vibrate again and wondered whether the house was well built. It seemed that the water was well below the level of the house, so there was no danger of water washing out the house. I then felt a cold draft near the window. I looked over the window frame. The window was small, and the frame was made of thin pieces of wood. It seemed cheaply assembled. I worried that too many repairs would be needed on the house. I noticed that there was a space above the window frame. It ran the length of the frame. I thought that the windows were not properly sealed when they were installed. I thought that the cold air must be coming in through the wall. I wondered whether i should ask my father about the air. I thought that he might have some suggestions on how to seal it. I turned to the west and walked over to the other small window on the north end of the west wall, just to the side of the large bed. The second window also seemed to have a space between the window frame and the wall. I asked my father how i could fix it. He seemed to be in the room with me. I felt worried that this house would need too many repairs.

I drove my car on the narrow gravel street in the middle of the suburban area. This place seemed to be in a warm climate, as though it were in a country in Central America. The buildings were short and seemed to be run down. There was a large factory yard to the north of where i was. I remembered that the main street was to the south of me, running east to west. As i moved through the suburban area, i could her loud music. It seemed to be coming from a live band. I looked back to the northwest, toward the factory from which i had just come. There was a tall chain-link fence along the northeast side of the gravel road. It seemed as though there might be a band playing in the factory yard. I was interested to find out who they were, but i was hesitant to head back to the factory. I looked down the gravel road, which curved to the northwest and then back to the north before heading into the main gate of the factory. I listened to the rock song. I could hear the drums and loud distorted guitars. I wondered whether it was some ploy to get people back to the factory. I knew that the factory was dangerous. I felt as though someone in this country was trying to get people to the factory so that they could do something to them. I turned and continued to the southeast, heading for the main road. I felt very uncomfortable in this place and wanted to get out. I watched the people move around me, weaving through the circular racks of clothing. I was in a very large department store. The mail aisle ran to the west-southwest. There was a group of children near me with whom i had been talking. They were telling me something, but i knew that they were the type of people whom the authorities did not like. As i looked up, i noticed some of the security officers fro the store walking toward us. I did not trust them and knew that they could be corrupt. The security officers were trying to get everyone out of the building. They came over to the children that i was with and asked us to move along. I thought that i would need to collect my things, but i could not find my shoes. I then realized that one of the authorities had taken my shoes from the floor. I knew that he was aware that they were my shoes. I felt angry, but could not ask him for my shoes back. I started after him, but he hurried away to the west. I told the people with me about the store clerks who had taken my shoes. I did not know what to do. I picked up some of my things and walked to the northwest. I had to find my shoes. I thought that they might have dropped them somewhere. I walked along the west side of the large wooden pavilion on the edge of the park. There was a wide grassy area to the north. I turned to the east and walked into the pavilion. I had been here earlier. This is where the rock show had been. I had to collect the rest of my things before i left. I felt insecure here and though that i should hurry to get out. Everyone else was walking away from the area. I was then aware of a white truck coming down the dirt road from the north. It passed along the west side of the pavilion. I knew that it was one of the security trucks. I tried not to notice what the driver was doing. I knew that he would try to intimidate me. He then drove his truck into the low cement wall which surrounded the edge of the pavilion. He hit the wall just behind where i was standing. I knew that he was trying to scare me, but i pretended that i did not notice what he was doing. The man drove the truck backwards a little and then bumped the wall again. The man seemed to be mexican, and seemed to be wearing a white shirt with a white rimmed hat. I knew that i could not confront the man or he would arrest me. There was a woman standing to the north of me. She watched the man hit the curb in shock. I turned to the south and started to leave. I then realized that i had come in the small blue car which was parked in the front of the pavilion. The man had actually been driving the truck into the side of my car. I realized that the car was not in gear, and it started to roll backwards across the dirt road. It only rolled a short way, though, before it stopped suddenly. I thought that it must have been in gear and that it stopped when the gear finally caught. I walked toward the car, thinking that i should just ignore the man in the truck. The car then started to roll backward again. There was a dirt pull off on the opposite side of the road where several cars had parked. The blue car rolled back into the parking area and hit the back of a larger black car. The black car then rolled backward and over the edge of the parking area and into a small pond. The front of the black car tipped down as the tires sunk into the mud. The back tire lifted off of the ground. I thought that the man in the white truck had only done harm to himself. The black car belonged to the authorities, and the man would most likely be in trouble for damaging it. I felt that justice had been served, but i thought that i should help get the black car out of the puddle. I knew that it was no good to simply let the man suffer. I knew that my concern would show the man that i was above the arguments that he was trying to fight. I walked around the south side of the car. I asked the people near me how we could get it out. I circled the car on the west, looking at the front end in the small murky pond. The police man, who was walking toward the car from the northeast, said that we would have to get a helicopter to lift it out. I walked along the north side of the car. The front end started to sink into the thick mud of the pond. I felt concerned, but did not know what to do. The front end of the car then went under the mud. In a moment, the entire car had submerged into the thick brown mud. I wondered whether we would be able to lift the car. I knew that it would be somewhat buoyant in the thick mud. As i walked toward the edge of the puddle, i asked whether the car was a kit car, hoping that it might be light enough to lift. I grabbed the front end as some of the other people rushed to help. The car lifted out of the mud very easily. The police officer was standing to the south of me, helping to lift the car. As we rolled the car onto the grass to the east, i cautioned the people to be careful not to roll it into the other ditch. There was a larger ditch to the east which looked a lot deeper. I knew that, if the car sank into the second ditch, it would be too deep for us to get out.

I was driving down the road which ran along the west side of the long narrow lake. It seemed that i was high above the road as i moved very quickly to the south, watching the lake pass by through the thin line of trees. I remembered that this road ran very close to the lake. As i watched the water, though, i noticed small rises and clumps of trees between the road on which i was driving and the shore. It seemed that i was starting to climb in elevation. I wondered whether i was traveling on the wrong road. It seemed that i was going away from the lake. I thought that i would have to get back on the road which traveled along the shore. I then thought that i might simply be worrying needlessly. I thought that the road might drift away from the lake only for a moment before it came back to the water. I was then traveling to the southeast, over the water of the lake. I could see the dead trees along the eastern shore. The east shore of the lake looked like an old forest which had recently become a swamp land. The grey trunks of the dead trees seemed knotted and gloomy. As i traveled in the boat, i could hear the weather report on the radio. The man reported that there were one-hundred-mile-per-hour winds. I thought that the storm sounded serious. I was worried that we might get caught in the middle of it. I then noticed a large splash or water rise from the surface of the lake to the south of us, almost in the direction to which we were traveling. It seemed that something had fallen into the water. My grandfather told me that a tree had fallen into the water. I thought that it must have fallen because of the storm. I felt nervous about the approaching storm. I then started to worry that me might hit the tree. We were traveling very fast in the direction where it fell. I knew that it would be floating just under the surface of the water. With the storm and the danger of the fallen tree, i did not feel safe out on the boat. We kept moving, though. I knew that something was going to happen, and i was still worried.

I walked to the south, through the center of the cluttered store. The place was dark, and there were items all over various tables and shelves. This place sold used junk. I knew that we were in Deutschland. There was a man behind the counter on the west wall of the store. He seemed to be talking to someone. I looked over the small items on the edge of the counter as i passed. There were white labels above them with numbers on them. The numbers seemed to be prices, but they were all in the thousands. I tried to remember how deutsch currency worked. I then wondered whether they would have any used toys here. I through that they might have some Shogun Warriors. I passed to the left of a shelf that was cluttered with stuff. It was dark from lack of light. Just beyond the shelf was a table with toys on it. I noticed that there were some tall dolls on the floor. Some of them were Shogun Warriors. I walked around them and turned to kneel down. There seemed to be several Shogun Warrior dolls standing on the floor among various other action figures. I noticed that they had a large blue Shogun Warrior. I had not seen that one before and thought that i should buy it. I looked carefully over the toys. I noticed that there was a small black version of one of the Warriors. It was Mazinga. I already had the larger version, but i thought that it might be interesting to buy the smaller one. I tipped it backward so that i could see what its body looked like. It was thin and seemed to have a vehicle shape to its legs. I realized that the later versions of the doll probably could be changed into vehicles. I then noticed a doll which looked like Godzilla. I lifted it, thinking that it might be one of the Warriors, but realized that it was actually from a movie. It looked like a small dragon that was crouching on a small round stone, its large wings stretched backward. I lifted the toy as i looked at it. It was not what i was looking for, so i put it back down. I then noticed that the large blue doll was not really a Shogun Warrior. It was shaped more like a person, with rippled skin. I stood up and walked back to the north, to the exit of the store. I spoke to me father as we walked. He mentioned that the man behind the counter was stingy and would probably rip people off. We were then in the car, traveling north on the small road. There were small country houses all around us. As we approached a corner, the road turned to the east a little, rounding the white blocks of what used to be a small bar. I remembered the place from before. The place had burned down, though, and the white blocks were still glowing red from the heat. I told my father to be careful of driving near them. I thought that he might hit one of the glowing blocks with the front tire of the car. As we reached the intersection, i noticed that there was a second building across the street which had burned. It was also made of white blocks. There were flames drifting up from its stones. Something seemed strange here. I wondered why the buildings had not been attended to by fire fighters. It seemed that they could still start something on fire. I then noticed the large house to the east of the first building. It was a two-story tudor-style house which sat in the middle of a grassy lawn. It was not too far from the first building. I could see a small flame burning on the corner of the house. Smoke curled around the near corner of the house. I wondered whether the smoke was from the house or the burned building. I could see that the windows of the house were open and wondered whether hot asked from the burned building had blown into it. There was a tall narrow bush between the house and the burning building which was also on fire. I then noticed that several of the houses in the area had small flames on them. I felt worried. I thought that someone should be told of the danger. I told my father that we should call someone. He seemed uninterested as he turned onto the other road and started to drive east. I remembered that we were in a foreign country. I thought that we did not know whom to call. I wondered whether dialing zero would get us an operator or not. I also wondered whether anyone on the telephone would be able to understand us. I looked down into my lap as the car drove to the east. I then noticed that the car was really not in that good a condition. The interior was rusted and worn. I thought that this was the kind of cars they rented in Europe. I thought that they were not as concerned with looks as with the way the car operated. The car also seemed to be older. We drove down the city street in front of the store. We were walking on the side walk. I thought that we had to meet my mother. We turned to the right suddenly, into one of the open store. I say my mother and grandmother sitting against the far wall, facing out over the street on the other side of the building. I wondered what my grandmother was still doing here. I thought that she had to go home.

I was in the back seat of the car, driving east. I felt uncomfortable. Other members of my family were in the car with me. We were driving on the south side of $P52. It seemed dark out and i could see the lights on some of the large buildings. My mother was in the passenger’s seat of the car. She seemed to be complaining about something. She was trying to figure out where we were, but was unable to do it. I felt frustrated with her. No one seemed to know where we were going. I could not contain my frustration and started swearing. I complained that no one knew what was going on. My father turned around in the driver’s seat and looked at me. He seemed angry and told me not to complain. He then continued driving. I sat back into the back seat and crossed my arms. I was angry and decided that i would not tell them where to drive anymore. They came to an intersection and started to turn left. I knew that they were headed away from $P52. My mother said that she thought it was the correct way to go. I hoped that they got lost going away from $P52. I decided that i would not say anything. I felt very selfish and angry. I then wondered whether they would notice the reflection of the lights from $P52 against the clouds sky. It would lead them back in the correct direction. We started to drive to the southeast on the other road, but my father seemed uncertain about the direction and pulled into a driveway on the left side of the road. They were about to turn around, but stopped to discuss which way to go.

I walked across the road near my parents’ house. I seemed to be between my parents’ house and the neighbours’ house. There was something strange going on. Several people moved across the field between the two houses. I felt as though there was also someone traveling down the road. The men on the road were dressed in black. I thought that they were trying to sneak something. I hurried across the road, crouching low so that no one would see me. It was daylight, but the sky was grey. I thought that i was wearing all black clothing. I pictured the three people in black stretch clothing who had sneaked behind the trees in the center of the small wooded area between the houses. I came to the side of the road between the two houses and ran behind a set of thin trees which were growing next to each other. I was aware that there was a car coming down the road from the east. I thought that i had to hide behind the tree so that they did not spot me. I then remembered that i was carrying books and a cardboard box in my arms. It should be very noticeable sticking out from the back of the tree. The police car drove very close to the tree as it passed to the west on the road. I looked down at the books. I had to sneak around so that the bad guys did not see me. I then turned to the west and started walking. I was following the back end of the group. I looked to the north to see the barn at the back side of the field from me. There was something strange about the barn. I let my right hand glide over the rough wood of the three-bar fence that was right in front of me, on the near edge of the field. The ground in the field was muddy and wet, and the grass was green and uneven, as though it had been eaten by horses. I stared at the old worn unpainted barn on the other side of the field from me. The boards on the near face of the barn were horizontal, and the barn seemed to have a flat tin roof. The others continued to the west as i slowed my pace. There was something about the barn. I then noticed the man standing on the side of the barn. The west side of the barn was open, and i saw the man emerge from the ragged edge of wood on the south side of the barn as i walked. I stopped, looking at the man. There was something very attractive about him. He stood with his shoulders slightly slouched. He was wearing a dirty pair of blue denim jeans and a dirty red, grey, and white plaid shirt. He looked very disheveled, but i felt that he was confused and uncertain. I knew that he was being hidden from the others. It had something to do with the secret experiments. He was some sort of laboratory subject. I then recognized him as Mark Wahlberg. This was all part of a movie. I wondered whether i was part of the movie. I thought that it might be interesting to act with Mark. It then seemed that i could no longer see what was going on. I could only hear the dialogue of the movie. Mark’s character complained about something, worrying about his physical condition. Harrison Ford then assured him that he would be fine. I knew that Harrison was trying to rescue Mark from the bad scientists. He pointed out a few details of Mark’s problem. He ended by saying “You have been kept in a barn, so you’re body is not weak.” I knew that he was dispelling the beliefs that the bad guys had put into Mark’s head. I could then see Harrison again. He was concentrating on the control levers in front of him. He kept looking away from the camera, at the man who was riding horse along side of them. The camera then panned back enough that i could see Mark hanging up-side-down from the ceiling. He was wearing a bright blue shirt with a red rodeo vest. There were white tassels along the edges of the vest. They were both on a train. Harrison was trying to accelerate the train, but the man on the horse was shooting at him. My vision them moved ahead of Harrison and Mark. I could still hear them talking, but i was not looking out the large window in the main cabin of the train. I could see the trees pass by quickly outside. I wondered how the horse would be able to keep up. It seemed that the train was moving fast enough that the men on horses would be lost. I then looked back to see the rider moving farther away from the train. Harrison had saved Mark from the experiments. I thought that they should unhitch the other cars of the train to let the bad guys slip away.

I stood in the gravel parking lot with the other people. There was a small SUV in the middle of the lot which was facing south. We seed to be in a country area. There was a grassy hill to the east of us which rose steeply from the parking lot toward a line of trees. I placed my large duffel bag into the back of the truck as the others spoke. I then remembered that i did not have my sun glasses with me. I was standing at the back of the truck looking at the bags in the trunk when i turned to the man to the east of me and mentioned that i had forgotten my glasses. I wondered whether i would need them. We started to wander to the east. I spoke aloud as i thought about running back to my house, which was a little way to the northwest of where we were. It seemed like it would take a little while for me to run there and back. I asked the man whether i would need my glasses in Australia. I pictured the blue sky and the bright sand of the beach. “Of course.”, i said. “It’s all beach.” i realized that i would not be able to tolerate the bright light. I told the man that i would have to get my glasses. I walked around the back of the truck as the man wandered to the southeast. He started talking to the other person. I then wondered whether i had left my glasses in the pocket of my jacket. I walked around the west side of the truck and spotted my green winter jacket lying across something in the back seat of the car. I reached into the top pocket and could feel the glass case. I called to the man and told him that i did have my glass case. I walked around to the east side of the van as the others started to get in. The man said something in Italian to the people who were letting us use the SUV. I wondered what the sentence meant as i climbed into the back seat of the driver’s side of the vehicle. We drove to the south, out of the parking lot before turning to the east and heading down the road. I thought that we were in a foreign land. I looked out the front window of the van as the man drove. We were driving along the side of a very steep hill. The hill sloped to the south and was covered with short uneven grass. The ground seemed dry, and there was a dusty red trail work over the surface of the hill. The trail dipped and climbed the slope in uneven oscillations. The man tried to follow the trail. I wondered whether the van would top over. The hill was rather steep to be driving across. The man tried to steer the truck along the dirt path, but was having difficulty. He strayed a few times. The woman in the front seat let out a noise of caution as the trail dipped down the slope, but the truck continued in a straight line. I looked to my left. The man had grabbed the tan backpack which had been sitting on the floor near the side door. The door was open. I thought that the door must have swung open and the man reached back to make sure that the bag did not fall out. I pulled the door closed, but realized that there was a gap at the bottom of the white door. I told the man that the bottom of the door had rusted away. I remembered that the people who loaned us the van had replaced the door. I wondered whether we would be able to get a good door back from the italian men. I then looked back out the front window. I realized that the man was no longer on the dirt path. The truck swerved suddenly up the hill. There was a line of coloured boards creating a wall at the top of the hill. They were painted with rug-like decorations. One was a rich blue with yellow and black lines forming a square in the center. The one following it was bright red with blue and gold patterns which reminded me of an oriental rug. The truck crashed through the boards and spun around. We ended up facing south, toward the fence that we had just crashed through. I could see the metal chain-link fence which lined the back of the boards. The others in the truck anxiously told the man to drive out of the yard quickly. We knew that this place belonged to a mean man. I thought that he was a survivalist, and that he might come after us with his gun. The man hurriedly tried to start the truck and drive it back through the fence. We encouraged him to hurry as the truck sped back through the fence and down the hill. I wondered whether the man who owned the yard would be outside with his shotgun. I was afraid that he might try to shoot at us. I looked at the large tin building on the top of the short grassy hill as we drove to the east down the road. The outside of the tin warehouse was light blue. As we passed the end of the building, i noticed a man with a long white tube standing at the back of the building. I thought that it was the man with a gun. It seemed to be a large gun. I thought that he had military weapons, but i realized that he had a paintbrush in his left hand. The brush was covered with yellow paint. He looked up at us curiously. It seemed that he was fixing the mast of a sail boat. There were several other long masts on the ground near him. There was also a woman with him. They looked to the west, down the side of the building, concern on their face. I knew that they were looking in the direction of the noise that we had made when we crashed through the fence. They saw us speeding away and wondered what we had done to make such a crash. I looked forward, down the center of the long corridor. It was dark in the corridor. I knew that this place was part of the large mall. The walls were very tall and plain. They were white, and had only minimal wood trim around the large doors on wither side. There were plain square wooden columns against the wall on wither side of the hall where a beam crossed overhead. I walked ahead of the others with me. Most of them seemed to be young children, who walked with their mother. I was happy to be in this place again. I remembered the mall from before. I was walking excitedly to the north, toward the intersection at the end of the hall. I pictured the east end of the mall. I remembered that it had a break in the main hall, where the hall shifted to the north before continuing on. I was excited to get to that end of the mall. It seemed as though there was something good there. $A29 walked with me as i started to float in the intersection. I drifted to the west, down the short corridor of the Mall. There did not seem to be any stores in the entire mall, yet i felt as through the place were a mall. I decided that i would show $A29 the store in the west wing first. I remembered that the store was exciting, but i could not remember what it was. It seemed that i was in an old house. There was a large room which opened to the north, just beyond the intersection. There seemed to be an art exhibit in the room. This place seemed like an old house. I floated past some of the people who were wandering from the south into the large room to the north. There was a wall which came from the west, forming a narrow corridor between itself and the south wall of the north room. The wall turned to the south. There was a doorway on the east side of the wall, near the corner. It had a wooden frame which was painted dark brown or black. As i rotated in the air in front of the door, i remembered that there was a club at this end of the mall which was very good. I floated through the door and into a small kitchen. I was happy to be back at this place. I had remembered it from a long time ago. I noticed that the area around the entrance to the club was very smoky, and there were fiber-optic plumes glowing from braces which extended from the south wall. The south wall seemed to be brick. I rotated in the air a few more times and then landed near the small kitchen. The refrigerator was decorated with red paint in demonic images. It was part of the club’s image. The freezer had a large red arrow on its door. I remembered that this was not the floor that you were supposed to use. I opened the refrigerator door and say the grey tube which descended into the floor just inside. The refrigerator was a hidden entrance to the club. It was all part of the club’s image. A man worked at the counter to the left of the refrigerator. I dove into the grey tube that was just inside the refrigerator. As i started to enter the chute, i noticed the letter P printed in white on the grey funnel. The mouth of the funnel was striped in two shades of grey and reminded me of an illustration from a Dr. Sueus book. As i started to fall down the chute, i started to feel uncomfortable with the design of the chute. I did not know what was below me and wondered how this could be safe for the large number of people that would be coming in and out of the club. I could not see anything in the dark chute, but i felt my body turn over so that i was on my back. I emerged from the chute. I found myself lying on a grey cushion in the center of a smoky room. The room opened to the south, at a slightly lower level than where i was standing. I stepped off of the round cushion and looked back at the various chutes which came from the ceiling. I thought that the chutes would vary for every person. I remembered that i had taken chute P, but, if i went through a second time, i might have another chute. This place seemed empty of people, as though it were early in the evening, but there was something about i liked. It was a special place.

I was lying in bed. It seemed to be early in the morning. I did not feel like getting up. I glanced around the dimly lighted room. I could see $X3 sitting in front of me. I then realized that $X3 was lying one the ceiling. I was still on my back in bed and i could see him hovering against the ceiling. It seemed that he was asleep. I thought that he must be able to fly like i can. I wondered whether i floated when i slept. I watched $X3 floating to the left of my bed. It seemed strange that he was able to float as well. I then pet him. He was lying next to me on the bed. It felt good to have him back again. I remembered that he had died a long time ago. I pet his thick brown fur along his right side as he lie to my left. He then lifted his head and tried to lick my face. We were in the dining room of my parents’ house. I had been feeding him while my parents were away. I suddenly wondered whether i had fed him. I did not remember getting the food out. I felt worried and thought that he had not eaten in a few days. I watched him as he floated near the white ceiling. He seemed to be looking for a place to lay down. I stood up and walked into the kitchen. I had to find the dog food and put it in a dish for $X3. I felt bad that i had forgotten to feed him. I thought that it had been so long since i had to take care of someone else. I had forgotten to put out food. I opened up the cupboard near the floor, where the refrigerator normally is. I expected to see the bag of dry food with several large cans in front of it. I did not see a bag, though, and there were only glass bottles stacked in front of the bag. I lifted one of the glass bottles with my right hand, but realized that they were filled with canned salsa. I wondered what i was going to feed the dog. I stood up and started to walk to the east. I was looking for something, but i was now walking down the road of the suburban area. My mother seemed to be with me. We were traveling to my new house. I vaguely remembered the area. There were tan apartment buildings around us. This place seemed different, as though it was in a warmer part of the country, like Florida or California. I started to walk to the south. There was a crowd of people to the east who were just getting up from the show. They were sitting in chairs which were facing north. $A103 was one of the people who stood up near me as i headed toward the back door of the room. $F34 followed $A103 out of the white chairs. I had not seen her in a long time and said hello. I noticed that she had a light beard and mustache on her face. I thought that she must be growing them for some play that she was doing. I stopped and spoke to her. It was good to see her again. I felt somewhat awkward. Her beard did not seem quite right. I wondered how she had started to grow it. We walked to the south, to the street. I then started talking to my mother. I pulled the car to the south side of the road. $F34 drove her car past us and stopped in front of us. She had a black sports car from the late sixties. I knew that we were trying to find my house, but i was not sure where it was. I told my mother that i was going to ask $F34 where my house was. I walked away from my car and along the driver’s side of $F34’s. I asked her, through the open window, if she knew where my house was. I thought about the house on a back street. I knew that it was in the neighbourhood, but i did not know exactly where. Then i realized that i knew what my address was. I looked at the envelope in my hand. It had a long address on it. I realized that the address was wrong, and it changed to my correct address. I wondered why i had been confused before. I wandered to the north, up the side road where $F34’s car was parked. Something seemed strange about the situation. I told $F14 that i could not understand what was going on. I sat on the ground next to her. I knew that i was not dating her any more, but it seemed good to see her again. She seemed strangely interested in me as she lie on her back. She lifter her legs, placing them around my torso. I felt strange, but kept joking with her. I leaned to my right, toward $F14 as i laughed. I then felt something wet on the right side of my face. I realized that i had brushed against $F14’s vagina. I felt uncomfortable here and wondered whether she would let me go. I did not like that she had her legs around me.

I walked into the small apartment on the second floor of the house. This place seemed to be in my grandmother’s house. The old woman was there. She seemed familiar to me, but i did not know her that we. She was tall and thin and had a withered face. Her hair was white and she stood with a slight shake in the doorway, looking westward toward me. I walked toward her, forcing her into the apartment. She was frightened, but i knew that the poison would take effect soon. I suddenly remembered the other people i had killed. I wondered how i would hide the woman’s body. She backed onto the couch, which was against the north wall. The room seemed cluttered. I wondered whether anyone would miss her. I suddenly felt uneasy, remembering the two other people i had dreamed about killing. I wondered whether this was real.

I drove the small car to the west. I felt angry. I had just left some of my relatives at the small train station. I knew that they would be upset about being abandoned, but i felt as though i was too angry with them to accommodate them. I suddenly wondered what would happen to them. I knew that they would simply disappear. I pictured $K3 and $K2 standing in the gravel parking lot as i drove my black car to the west and onto the main road. I was then in the driveway of my parents’ house. I moved the cars around. I was in a tan Honda. It seemed very much like one which i used to own, but i knew that it was not mine. I thought that mine had broken down a long time ago. I felt a desire to go home, but i thought that my mother might complain about me leaving. I spoke to her, even though she was not in the general area. It seemed that i was on the telephone with her as i walked around the cars. I was to the east of the garage. I knew that i had a large amount of luggage in my car. I was hiding things. It was evidence. I knew that some of it belonged to my relatives. I wondered how i would get rid of it. I knew that my relatives would have simply disappeared. I had to hide the evidence of their disappearance. I felt worried. Something was wrong. My mother said that she wanted to travel back with me to my house. I felt uncomfortable. I wondered what i would do with all of the luggage in my car. I remembered that there was a large duffel bag across the front seat of the small car. I looked across the garage to see a red Volkswagen Rabbit with a black cloth roof. I wondered whether it was the same one which my father had so many years ago. I then moved to the west, across the back yard of the house. My mother said that we could take the old car which i had stuff in. I hoped that she did not go through my things. I thought about the pornographic magazines that i had in the large duffel bag. I then opened the passenger’s door of the old brown station wagon. My mother was in the driver’s seat. I wondered how i would get into the car. It was still loaded with things. My mother said that there was enough room for me to climb over the things. As i stepped on the edge of the car, though, i felt it sink to the ground. I told my mother that there was too much weight on this side of the car. I climbed into the car anyway and tried to climb over the things to sit behind the driver’s seat. I thought that i should balance out the weight.

I pictured a map of the streets in my mine. I knew that i was on the northwest side of the small suburban area, but i could not remember which street i had taken to get there. I could see the main road which ran along the east side of the city. It curved to the northwest at the top of the map. I thought that i might have taken that road, but then decided that i could also have taken one of the others turns. There seemed to be several roads which ran parallel to the main road. I rode my bicycle to the south. The suburban area seemed very open, with many trees and vegetation. The area seemed brown, for some reason. I then had trouble looking at the trees as they passed. I wondered how we should get back home. I tried to look around me to see which direction i was traveling, but my vision was obscured by black streaks. I could make out a few landmarks, but could not see everything else. I thought that my mind was not processing the images from my eyes. I tried to focus, turning around to scan the area. I thought that i had to find a set of train tracks and follow them back to the house. I tried hard to see what was around me, but the objects were dark and obscured. I then focused on a painting. It was a landscape of purples and greens. I knew that it was fictitious, but it was the only thing that i could see. I rotated to the right, trying to make out more, but all o could see was the painting. It had golden horizontal streaks across the sky, and the ground was streaked with blues and light reds. I could see several large colourful mushrooms growing in the foreground. They were gigantic. The scene reminded my of a fantasy land. I spun around, trying to spot other objects around me. I thought that only my peripheral vision was distorted, but, as soon as my eyes left the canvas, i could see nothing but brown and black static. I continued to spin until i could see the canvas again. I did not understand what was happening. I told the others what was wrong with my sight. I passed over the painting again, thinking that i had to find the landmarks that would tell me which direction i should head. I felt lost.

I was on the back side of the school. It seemed as though i had just come back from running. There were a few rows of lockers in the area. I walked around the east end of one of the rows, thinking that i had to get to the locker which as on the north side of the area. The ground was grey and seemed like pavement. I nodded hello to $A231, who was standing at the end of the row of lockers. He was naked, and was reaching into his locker to get some clothing. I walked a short distance along the north side of the lockers before i stopped at mine. I was wearing only a towel around my waste. $A6 walked up beside me and started to get some things from his locker. I spoke to him. He had just finished running and was about to take a shower. We spoke as though we were old friends. I told him that i had just finished running. I felt that i had not run enough. I enjoyed talking to $A6. I then started moving to the southeast. It seemed that i had come from the locker room and was headed to meet someone. I thought about $A6 and about how good it was to see him again. I wondered whether i would run into any of the other people i remembered from $P7. I crossed the grassy area towards the stores. The main road ran to the south on the east of me. It seemed as though i had been heading east on the driveway from the school locker room when i decided to turn to the southwest and take a short cut. I walked into the large music store. There were several guitars on the table in front of me. I noticed that one of them was a black fretless bass. It looked very much like mine. I asked my grandmother how much it was as i picked it up. She was on the opposite side of the table from me and tried to look at the white tag that was under the strings. I looked up the neck to see if there were any recognizable marks on the bass. It was very similar to mine, and i hoped that mine had not been brought here to be sold. I tried to read the tag. But the strings got in the way. My grandmother pulled the tag out from the strings and i could see that there were several lines of text. They referred to several of the guitars in the shop. I decided that the black text at the bottom of the sheet was the one which referred to the bass. The bass was a little over seven hundred dollars. I put the bass down and started through the shop toward the north. I realized that there were many guitars handing from the north wall. My mother and grandmother were looking over some of them. I wondered whether they would ask which one was the guitar that i was looking for. I looked over the wooden guitars on the wall and thought that there were no Rickenbacker guitars sold here. I was going to tell them that i was looking for a semi-acoustic twelve string. I started walking to the south east. There was a bin of records on the south wall. It seemed as though $A6 was standing there. I had come to the store with him. It was good to see him again. I then noticed that there was a room to the west which i had not seen before. I wondered what other instruments might be in there. I walked through the doorway and found myself on the south side of the room, just outside the main door to the auditorium. There was a table to the east of the door where the people were sitting. They were monitoring everyone who entered the exhibit. I paced around, wondering whom i might meet from $P7. I hoped that i ran into $A6 again.

I walked to the north, down the long hall of the building. There were a few other people walking with me. I had just come from some event and was heading back to the other end of the building to do something. The floor and lower halves of the walls were covered with tan and light brown tiles. The ceiling and upper parts of the walls were painted off-white. This place seemed like part of a school. There were several doors leading off to the left which were inset into the wall by half a metre. It seemed as though i were heading toward the pool. I then noticed two of the women standing near me. One of them was $A278. She was wearing a one-piece light-grey swim suit. I saw her standing in it and remembered that i had seen her at the swimming pool before. I thought that i was heading to the pool to swim. I started down the hall again, but there were a few people walking in front of me. They were very old men, and they were moving rather slowly. One of them was walking to my right. I tried to walk faster, to pass him, but he swayed in front of me. A shorter old man was then walking in front of me. I felt annoyed and wanted to get past them. I then noticed that there was a drinking fountain on the left wall. I decided that i would stop and get a drink. It would save me the trouble of having to push through the old men. The fountain was surrounded with a metal shield and was only a few decis wide. I turned on the water, wondering how i would get close enough to the stream of water to take a drink. The old men looked back at me, aware that they were no longer posing a problem to me. They slowed down and walked toward the other drinking fountain a little farther down the wall. I took a sip of the water from my fountain and realized that it tasted very sour. There was a bitter taste of old metal corrosion. I swallowed the water in my mouth and backed away from the fountain. I started down the hall again, but found that the men were line up at the other drinking fountain. One of the old men, who was wearing a dark suit, stood behind a line of shopping carts. The carts stretched across the hall so that the man was on the opposite wall from the fountain. He reached his left hand over the carts in an attempt to reach the fountain. I stopped in front of him. The other men were near me. I said “Excuse me.”, but he did not move. There were then some other people near me who were trying to get through the line. A short round woman rolled a shopping cart up to my right and tried to push through the line. She seemed very impatient. There were several children with her. The tried t nudge the cart through part of the line, but the old men did not pay attention to her. I noticed that there was a white cafeteria tray of food on the top of her cart. As she tried to push through the line. The tray tipped and slid to the back of her cart. I thought that the tray below it must have been disrupted. One of the young girls asked where her food had gone. I knew that the two trays had collapsed on each other and wondered whether the woman had noticed.

I stepped out of the car with the others. As soon as i was out, i realized that there was nothing in my left hand. I remembered having something. I turned to look at the car, which was already pulling away. It then stopped suddenly. I looked through the back window of the maroon car from the seventies to see the woman who was driving looking over the back of the seat. She was looking down at the floor. I realized that she must have noticed that i had left my cup of coke in the back seat when i got out. It probably spilled. I got in the back of the car from the passenger’s side and looked at the floor. There was a large stain on the tan carpeting behind the driver. I thought that i would have to get something to clean it up. I remembered seeing paper towels on the front dash and asked the woman for them. As i looked up, though, the roll of towels were no longer there. The woman tried to hand me a few tissues. I asked her where the towels had gone when i noticed that they had rolled across the dash to the right side of the car. The dash was really a shelf which was scattered with various pieces of paper and other small items. I grabbed the roll from the right side of the shelf and started to unroll the towels.

I was in the front room of my parents’ house with some other people. They were sitting on the south side of the room. I walked toward them with my guitar in my hands. I had been playing a few chords, but could not think of a song to play. I then decided that i should play some slower songs with finger picking. I sat down in the chair in the center of the room and started to play to the other two people. A woman then approached us from the east. She was $A42’s mother. She said that $A42 had to go. He stood up reluctantly and started walking across the lawn to the east, following his mother. He looked back over his right shoulder at me. He seemed young, with long brown hair. I felt upset that he had to leave, and i followed him around the back side of the parents’ house and into the driveway. I thought that his mother was taking him away because she did not trust me. I followed them for a little way down the driveway. Then i continued to the south, across the street and onto the small grassy area where the picnic table was. I started talking to some of the other people on the opposite side of the street. I sat down on the south end of the bench which was on the east side of the picnic table. There were some pictures on a piece of paper in front of me. The paper was letter-size, and had a grid of various colour images. It seemed like a contact sheet. Some of the pictures were interesting. Many of the ones on the top half of the contact sheet had areas of red in them. One seemed to be a picture of a person swinging a red blanket or sheet over their right shoulder as they faced the camera. I then placed the contact sheet on the table and looked to the person at the south end of the table. It was $F31. He was sitting between two women. They laughed brightly about some joke. It felt strange to see $F31 laugh so much. I felt awkward about the situation, as though $F31 were leaving me. I then looked across the table to see two young men facing me. They had been talking to each other. The one on the left sat with his shoulders slightly hunched and his hands on his hips. He was wearing a light-coloured button-up shirt with the sleeves slightly rolled up. His hair was short curly and very light blonde-almost white. I noticed the detail and shape of his forearms and thought that he was probably athletic. I thought that he was somewhat attractive, but still young. I placed the contact sheet down on the table and looked at again. I still felt disappointed that $F31 was diverting his attention to someone else. The man across the table from me on the right then asked me if he could look at the contact sheet. I looked at him as he held his left hand out for the sheet. He had short brown hair and a very angular face. I thought that he was quite attractive as i handed him the sheet. I wondered whether i could talk to him.

I walked to the west, through the small room in the center of the house. It seemed like the dining room of my parents’ house, but i knew that this was my house. The house seemed old. I looked at the thin door on the back wall of the room. It had a grey brush strip at the bottom of the door. I looked closely at the crack on the bottom of the door, extending my right hand to feel if cold air was seeping in through the crack under the door. There seemed to be no air at first, but then i noticed a small area in the center of the door where some cold air was coming through. I thought that it might have been an area of the door where we had to cut the external trim. I moved my hand back and forth at the bottom of the door, realizing that i could see light through a crack, which stretched the length of the door. I wondered whether cold air could come in along the entire length of the door. I backed up a little, letting the bristles of the dust strip on the bottom of the door fall back into place. I then realized that they were not as close to the door as they should have been. I thought that they would help seal the door. I looked at the reddish brown door. I knew that it was new. I had it replaced when i moved into this house. It was a metal insulated door. I turned to the east and walked back into the bedroom. There had been some other people on the central room of the house. They were planning on going somewhere. I thought that it was to the beach outside. I felt interested in going with them, but not enthusiastic about it. I came into a bedroom. Two women followed me into the room. I felt as though they were close friends of mine. They were discussing the trip to the beach. They did not seem enthusiastic about going either. I faced the north wall of the room, arranging something on the red bedspread of my small bed. The women made excuses not to travel outside at the moment. I looked back to the south, toward the women. One of them was Courtney Cox. She was wearing a tight blue shirt and faded blue denims. I mentioned to them that it was starting to rain outside. They looked out the large window, which stretched the entire length of the north wall. The window was at the top of the wall, just under the ceiling, and was covered on the east by red drapes. I looked out the western edge of the window to see the grey sky. The women sighed and said that they should probably not go. I walked to the east again, along the shore of the lake. The water was to the south of me as i walked over the sand. I started to walk away from the others. I remembered being on the beach before. Something had taken place just to the east of where we were. There was a short grassy strip, which ran along the north side of the narrow sandbar. It seemed that there were small white and yellow cottages just beyond it, which looked out over the lake. It seemed grey and hazy out, as though it were very cloudy and somewhat foggy. There also seemed to be a white boathouse out over the water, to the south of me. I walked past the boathouse, out of view of the others. I remembered that there was a bad man here the last time i came here. It was part of a movie. The man had abducted me and buried me in a trench in the sand. The trench extended out into the water. I looked around the beach, picturing the rectangular hole in the ground. I then looked down at the hole i had been digging in the sand. It was starting to fill with water. I bent over and started to dig the water out with my hands, but decided that i should head back to the east, to where the others were. Something felt unsettling about this place. I stepped over the mound of sand which ran perpendicular to the beach and walked onto the boardwalk on the other side. It was dark now, and the air was getting cooler. $G4 was gathered on a dock near the large boat. Some of them called to me as i approached. I had been hanging out with them, but had wandered away for a moment. I thought that my wandering might seem mysterious to them. I did not say anything about it as i joined them. It felt safe to be back with the rest of the crowd.

12001 January 25

I was driving down the highway, but i was unable to see where i was going. I felt scared and worried that i might crash into something. I tried to open my eyes, but it seemed that my vision was obscured by something dark. I wondered how i was able to stay on the road for so long. I did not know where i was going, but i kept on driving. I tried to wake my mother, who was asleep in the passenger seat. Something was wrong with my vision and i wanted her to drive. I looked back out the front window to see an intersection in front of us where the road on which we were driving ended at a second road. I started to steer to the right, unable to make out exactly what i was doing. There seemed to be another car approaching the intersection from the right. My car skidded in front of it and ran into the snow bank on the opposite side of the country road. There seemed to be a large open field on the other side of the bank. The car came to a stop. I felt upset because i had just crashed my new car.

12001 January 28

I walked down the hall on the south wing of $P19. It seemed that i was living in this place. I felt peaceful here. I stopped in the middle of the hall, looking out the window to the north. I could see down the corridor of the north wing, as if the ceiling and west wall of that corridor were missing. There was a man standing behind a window in the middle of the corridor. He was wearing a light-blue long-sleeved shirt with a dark vest over the top. He stood, staring at me as i watched him out the window. I felt interested in him, as though he were someone i knew quite well. I continued down the hall, thinking that it was nice to live here with other people.

12001 January 30

I drifted through the air to the east, heading over the narrow aisle of the thin restaurant. The restaurant almost seemed like a corridor, with small square tables against the side walls. The carpeting seemed pale yellow, and the tables were covered with white linen. A waiter in a white dinner jacket walked to the west as i passed over a table with a man and a woman sitting at it. The table was against the south wall. It seemed as though i had come from someplace in the city. I felt as though i had to get to someplace. I remembered that someone was after me. I could not let him see me flying. I tried to escape down the stairs, which descended along the north wall of the narrow restaurant. As i passed over the first step, i concentrate on pushing my body down through the air. I pointed my arms over my head and dove downward, thinking how strange it was to have to adjust my altitude. I did not stay a certain height above the ground, but at a fixed elevation. As i passed into the narrow hallway below, i found that it was crowded with boxes. I tried to glide over the boxes carefully, but i caught my pant leg on one of the cartons. I landed on the ground, and tried to push past the boxes in the small room. I then realized that i was really in a moving van. All of the boxes were being shipped to the new house. I looked out the window to the east. My relatives were with me in the van. The van had just stopped on the east side of the road. There was a large yellow house just down a short grassy hill from where we were parked. This was my grandfather’s house on $P12, but it looked different. I did not recognize the house as the same house, but i knew that it was by the location. The house seemed to have a square tower in front of it which was connected to the rest of the house by an exterior wall which ran from the tower to the southwest corner of the house, at an odd angle from the rest of the house. I stepped around the back of the van and walked toward the building. It had been redesigned with large black metal I-beams and cement decks. It looked very sturdy. The tower and front of the house were covered with large glass windows. I walked into the front room of the house. It did not look like my grandfather’s house at all. I knew that it was now my house. I had just purchased it. I looked to the south. There was a spiral staircase going up just on the other side of a counter. I seemed to be at the edge of a kitchen. There were black metal arches holding up the roof. I realized that the inside layout of the house had been changed. It seemed that the wall between the old dining room and living room was still there, but the stairs now crossed through it, and the kitchen counter stretched along the north side of it. My relatives were to the southwest of me, in one of the small rooms off of the kitchen, where the old entrance hall used to be. $K4 said something about the house. I felt frustrated with my relatives, i knew that they never appreciated anything i liked. I told $K4 that the house had been redesigned on the inside. It was totally different from what i had been.
