11990 Autumn

I walked down the hall of the community school. The halls looked like a high school, but i thought that it really was a community college. I was looking for my class. I then saw $A6 walking toward me in the hall. He walked past me, but i turned and called him. There were too many people in the halls though. He did not seem to hear me. I felt strange. I wanted to say hello to him, but it did not feel right for me to go after him. He was an old friend of mine. I walked after him, but could not find him in the crowd of students. He was a good friend of mine, and i wanted to say hello.

I told $A6 about the dream that i had had of him in the halls of the school. We were standing in the hall of the real school. I told him how i had run into him in my dream. He did not reply. He just listened as i spoke. It felt very good to talk to him again. It had been so long since we had seen each other. I wanted to be close friends with him again. I wondered if it was destiny that we had met. I felt that there was some special friendship between us, and i wanted to renew it.

I walked across the upper floor of the mall. The building around me was made of brick, and it seemed old. I thought that it must have been an old factory which had been converted into a shopping center. I stood at the top of a flight of stairs which descended into the center of an atrium in the middle of the building. People were walking below, across the tile courtyard. The second floor of the building had archways lining the atrium. The arches were made of brick. The stores were on the other side of the arches from me, even though i could not see them. The ceiling over the atrium was open to the sky, and i could see that the roof on the rest of the building was supported by thin columns. The roof spread out from the columns across the width of the building. The lower level of the building was also filled with stores, and had the same archway design on the upper floors. I started down the escalator in front of me. This was a gathering place for people from the city. It was called “The Atrium”. It acted as the central market place for the city.
